Smoking Cessation, Austin Technique |
"Mastering others is strength, mastering yourself is true power" - Lao Tzu
Smoking is largely a habit - a habit that smokers have learned. Smokers tend to automatically reach for a cigarette in certain circumstances – with a drink, when they make a phone call or after a meal, for example. The body is clear of nicotine within 48 hours of being a non-smoker. In fact, the body adjusts completely to the lack of nicotine very quickly - yet many ex-smokers will revert to smoking well past that time. This may be because smoking is a coping strategy for some other problem, or because the habit itself is so ingrained.
"Hypnotherapy has the HIGHEST SUCCESS RATE of ANY form of therapy for smokers wishing to quit" - New Scientist - 1992.
There are many dedicated smoking clinics - some are excellent, others are less so. Some rely purely on 'suggestion hypnosis' which works for some smokers (and good hypnotees) but not for all. Clinics that are not trained in therapy may not be able to help you quit if smoking has become your coping strategy, or if there are emotional issues holding the habit in place. My advanced structured technique (The Austin Technique - or Original Harley Street Technique) is effective for nearly all smokers who are motivated to quit. With this technique, you can become a true non-smoker in just one session. I almost always work with Hypnosis as it is the most effective for smokers, but if you wish, I can also work with Psych-K, NLP, EFT and other techniques.
There are two types of non-smoker. Those who are exercising immense will-power, and those for whom smoking is completely irrelevant. With proper hypnotherapy, you can be the latter. This is a one session therapy.
